Dinner on the Sound

(I like to put fruit rinds in my mouth in public)

It was fun to dress up and spend an evening having dinner on the Puget Sound aboard the Royal Argosy. It's something I've always wanted to do. It was so much more than a new place to get drunk......I swear.

The live music was really romantic, it was almost enough to get me on the stone-cold, empty dance floor... but instead, I opted for the non-embarassing alternative of staying at our window table and ordering another glass of wine.

The dinner cruise ended up being an optimal setting to utilize my amateur people-watching hobby. People of all kinds engaged in conversation (or screaming-- depending on their age). There were newly weds celebrating their first night out as a couple and older couples who looked like they were fufilling a yearly tradition. We just took it all in (the food, literally) and enjoyed our night out as "spendy patrons".
